we’re home from dragoncon.
I’ll post more tomorrow – or wednesday.
next couple of days will be tough, not only getting over con tiredness, but some other stuff that’s going on.
But yeah, made it out of ATL before any bit of Frances did (never rained on us at all – did it ever rain today there? It was acting like it would any minute)
Drag On Con celeb encounters:
Met George Lowe, who plays Space Ghost. Got his autograph. He was really funny, and super nice.
Met Craig Parker, who played Haldir – also really nice and friendly! Got our picture with him – it’s on my last disc I haven’t finalized yet so I’ll have it up soon.
Shook Daniel Logan’s hand (baby Boba Fett in Ep II) – also nice, though didn’t get to get his autograph or anything.
Also saw June Lockhart (the mom from Lost in Space/Lassie), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Margot Kidder (Superman – I said hi to her and she said hi back. Yeah we have a great friendship.), and David Carradine (y’know, Bill as in Kill Bill).
Crap I bought (if I can remember it all):
Gandalf and Theoden minimates (kinda like legos)
A wand (to carry with Ozma)
Sailormoon Live Action TV series ep 7-11 DVD
Two Unico movies on DVD
Jack Frost MST3K on DVD
Tim the Enchanter hat
Prancing Pony and Green Dragon shot glasses
LOTR mousepad
Gates of Mordor Action Figure set (with Legolas, Gimli, Aragorn, Gandalf and the Mouth of Sauron (with his horse!) – I didn’t actually buy this, it was my birthday present from mom
A little dragon for mom
A Jimi Hendrix dvd for dad
Dad’s XMas present
Mom’s XMas present
Cath’s XMas present
Kevin’s XMas present
amazingly enough I did actually come back with some cash still in my wallet. Don’t know how I managed that one. The DVD booths have a tendancy to break me.
Yeah, I have the same problem with DVD’s. They break my bank account! Especially when I have my fiance import me Manga and Anime from Japan. I really need to get back there, as soon as I graduate of course. Come drop me a line sometime, we’ll talk manga and nerdy stuff!
